I could use a second 12v 280 so I could use the a/c on my r/v
I purchased the 280Ah battery for a motorhome lithium conversion. After seeing photos of the inside of Battleborn batteries (not good) and a tear down of an Ecoworthy product (very good), I decided to check the price. The value was astounding so I ordered one. It was heavier than I expected probably because of the steel structure to prevent swelling, but far lighter than the lead-carbon AGM it replaced. So far I have run a microwave oven via a 3000W Xantrex inverter and it didn’t shut down. For charging I used a Victron Blue Smart charger and a Victron Orion XS plus Orion MPPT solar controllers. It had no problem accepting 80A of charging current. The Eco-worthy app is simple, but there is a secret menu with extra options where you can reset the percentage SOC to 100% if needed. These batteries are a game changer — cheaper than Lead Carbon AGM, lighter than any lead acid solution, a functional app and excellent Bluetooth range. The Bluetooth is nearly twice that of Victron products.
I would love to see an off-grid system where all the components “talk” to each other through a standards protocol (no matter the make/model). It would make monitoring the system so much easier.
If I could improve one feature in my battery system it would be the inverter.
If I could improve one feature in my battery system, it would be the battery because I don’t have the right size for my system, as I am a low-income individual who can’t afford a battery system and thank you jason govereau
