Is there anything more natural than solar? To have the possibility of obtaining long autonomy with a single battery or multiple batteries? All of this can be found here at Eco-Worthy

Jean Veillette

One moment that made me take clean energy seriously was during the bad wildfire seasons in British Columbia, especially around the 2021 British Columbia wildfires. I remember the sky going kind of orange and the smoke getting thick enough that you could almost taste it all day. Even being far from the fires, the air quality got so bad and people were staying inside. It didn’t feel like some far-off issue anymore, it really felt like something that was becoming a massive issue for this province.
On top of that, working as an electrician has opened my eyes to how energy is actually used and where it comes from. Seeing more solar installs and how they tie into homes and systems made me realize how practical and realistic they can be, not just for saving power but for the environment too. Solar stood out to me because it’s something you can install and see the benefit right away. Pair that with newer batteries like LiFePO4, which last longer and create less waste, and it feels like a smarter way forward to make a difference. It’s not just about the environment but it’s about doing something real that helps reduce the impact of environmental issues and human caused issues alike.

Brian Upson

My solar journey began with my father’s words. When I was young, he told me that one day, humanity would harness a nearly infinite energy — one that was always there, waiting. Those words stayed with me.

In 2011, I became a camper at Zec des Martres, a wildlife reserve in Québec. From the very beginning, I set up a small solar system just to have light and listen to the radio in the forest. It felt like a small act, but it meant everything.

Over the years, the system grew with my needs. When we switched to a new Jayco trailer in 2024, we ran two 100Ah batteries, a 100W rooftop panel, and a portable 165W panel. We powered lighting, a fridge, heating, and a radio — entirely off-grid. We even connected a 2000W inverter with a 10-3 AWG extension to run the trailer’s appliances.

This year, I’m taking the next step: upgrading to LiFePO4 batteries, four 100W panels, and an MPPT charge controller — building the system my father always believed in.

Clean energy isn’t just practical for me. It’s a promise kept to the forest, to the next generation, and to a father who saw the future clearly.

Yvon Dorval

What made me take clean energy seriously was Bill Nye talking about the earth being on fire, and urging people to do what they can about it.
